I am so proud to be working at one of the many amazing tech startups in NYC. Right out of college, I had only 2 core requirements for my first gig: no suits required and an NYC based office. Call it juvenile, call it weird, but following my gut has only led me to work at a place that I enjoy and with a close knit team that I love.

Admittedly the jobs map could be better, but in any case, if you are interested in joining the myriad amazing startups in NYC, look no further. Although Accenture, Bloomberg is listed in there? Really?? Don’t kid yourselves. Both are great companies, but definitely not startups. Not in the least bit.

Swimsuit; sunnies; snacks; sunscreen (check, check, check, check) You are so well prepared for your first trip to the beach this summer……Or are you?  I was checking out stuff that would be lovely to bring along, and boy-o-boy look at what I found, and the many Duh! ideas:- 1) Boozy jello shots - Nothing screams this is AWESOME like boozy jello shots. Go all out and make a cooler filled with ‘em. Your friends will always remember you as the awesome friend who was so awesome they cannot remember that afternoon because it was filled with boozy awesomeness. 2) Custom imprint flip flops - Because drawing with a stick is so 1990. 3) Seashell waterproof case for iPhone - 5yo kid beside you wielding his iphone like a pro? Show him what pros are made of and go take some serious underwater photos. 4) Francis Ford Coppola Sofia Mini Blanc de Blancs- Who needs snacks? Gotta keep that tummy flat! ‘Em jello shots were your snacks. This is your drank.  5) Grand Trunk parasheet blanket - you thought you had the best beach blanket?
